I was but one soul alone in the dance of time
A fleck upon, the vastness of our oceanic life
Birth from love, desire or hate
Who knows or cares, I am a life to live
A death to reach, Things to know, I know I don’t yet know
Wandering along the beach
Journeying through the gently lapping waves
Small white plumes covering their joy
An ocean; churning on lightly stepping feet of glory
I travel with loves and lives, to hold so dear, within my heart
Angel’s wings and scent upon your breath I imagine with awe
Complete yet indistinct, I hear their crash, the dying mewl
Of life spent upon the sands of time
Gently filtering down through the layers
Softly wetting my emotions, with dry tears
I am them, and they are me – we are one as waves
The universal cycle; brown, green, white and blue
Decay and life, precursors, feeding death and birth
My soul is entwined with You
And Her who is dead, and Him unborn
We pure, untainted lovers are all there is
We are now two souls together in the dance of time
